Label Materials

Different Types of Label Materials

When it comes to label materials, there are several options to choose from to accomplish both aesthetic and performance needs.  There are two basic categories of material.

Paper Labels

Paper is a versatile label stock. It is a great choice for products in need of a more natural look or feel. At The New Label, we offer several types of paper labels, including (but not limited to) the following:

  • Uncoated
  • Gloss
  • Textured
  • Metallic
  • Kraft

Film Labels

Film label materials are highly durable, long-lasting stocks that feature natural resistance to water, UV light, abrasion, and other potential threats especially when laminated. Film labels offer a variety of material styles made from a few different polymers that differ in levels of rigidity, flexibility, and durability.

  • Polypropylene (BOPP)
  • Vinyl
  • Polyester (PET)
  • Metallic BOPP
  • Polyolefin
